General Leveling Tips in WildStar Online

Leveling in WildStar is quite the adventure. To make the most out of your time spent leveling, here are four tips to level quickly and efficiently:

1. Quest and progress your path at the same time.

WildStar's path system is unique. In order to save yourself time while leveling you should work on both your path and your regular leveling progress at the same time. As you quest through an area, make note of where your path objectives are and do those at the same time. This will help you progress both your path level and your normal level. It will also let you gain the most experience for your time.

2. Stay on your toes.

WildStar can be a challenging game. There's a lot to worry about even while leveling. You'll need to be on your toes and watch out for ground effects, environmental effects and enemy attacks to avoid, dodge and interrupt/stun. Some abilities also take a bit of practice for learn. Skill shots, for example, on most caster classes may take some practice especially if you're a healer. Level with survivability in mind and learn how to avoid any type of damage you can while gaining familiarity with the combat system.

3. Choose a spec and playstyle that suits you.

Since combat can be a little challenging especially if you are new to MMORPGs, you should make sure to pick a class and spec that suits you well. Don't choose a role you are unfamiliar with until you learn the basics of the game. Remember that each class can perform two out of three of the trinity roles. If you need to switch to a DPS role in order to quest easier, do so. Similarly, if you plan on learning how to tank and/or heal and feel you need practice, there's nothing wrong in leveling as that spec and doing dungeon runs to prepare yourself for the road ahead.

4. Complete each area before moving on.

WildStar has many intricacies hidden within each zone. There's a lot to explore, so take your time while leveling and see everything there is to see before moving on. In every zone there is reputation to gain, unique rewards to earn, cool storylines to take part in and path progression to explore. Explore each quest hub thoroughly before moving on and keep on the lookout for quests in remote areas.

WildStar Housing Guide

WildStar's housing system is one of the best features the game has to offer. It allows players to own their very own piece of sky property that is inside its own instance and build a house that's completely customizable as well as a myriad of features known as "plugs" that can serve as an individualized (or group) playground, combat preparation station or just a place to socialize.

To first get started with player housing, all you need to do is approach any of the housing NPCs that will explain everything you need to know to get started. These NPCs show up at the major cities/quest hubs within the first non-tutorial zone. After speaking to the NPC you'll be able to pick up your sky plot for a minimal gold fee. You'll also be able to travel there.

After you get sent to your housing plot in the sky, you're tasked with a series of quests that serves as a brief introduction to WildStar's housing system. You're asked to clear the land of any nasty creatures. This requires a bit of combat and help you some leveling. There's even a simple minis-boss fight you'll have to prove victorious over.

Once the land is clear you're then able to pick which style of house to build. You'll start small at first. As you gain levels you'll be able to unlock various blueprints for more expansive housing styles and additional features as well as learn new blueprints that drop off enemies and are offered as quest rewards.

The full interiors of houses as well as the exterior plugs can be fully customized based on which blueprints you have access to. Everything from the flooring design to the wallpaper, type of windows, doors, rugs, wall hangings and individual pieces of furniture can be customized. There are hundreds of cool items in the game to add to your house.

Plugs connect to the outside of your house and take up a certain amount of space. They act as additional features guide in wildstar online. You can tailor the types of plugs your property has to what type of house you are trying to build. If you want a pure social or RP setting, for example, you may choose to build areas where friends can socialize and relax. If you're looking to maximize your future career as a raider, you may wish to add combat buff stations and transporters that you can use to quickly get to raid locations. Crafters can add farms and mining nodes to enhance their productivity.

Do WildStar's Paths Offer a Different Leveling Experience?

Paths are a large part of the leveling experience in WildStar. Essentially paths offer players a choice to explore the game in a different way. Chosen when first creating a character, players can choose between four different paths: Explorer, Soldier, Scientist and Settler. Each vary based on what type of activities the player might enjoy while leveling.

Soldiers get many extra missions that task the player with slaying enemies. Scientists gather plants, scientific data and learn more about the world around them. Explorers delve into hidden caverns and climb high peaks in search of special checkpoints and buried treasure. Settlers help make the zones a better place for all players by setting up special buff stations and NPC hubs in deserted areas.

Depending on what of gamer you are, certain paths may call to you more than others. You're also free, of course, to explore all four paths on different alts. Each character can only have one path. Paths also offer players with unique rewards that are mostly fun in nature and don't heavily influence the game during endgame.

Paths change the leveling experience by providing players with a large amount of side objectives to complete while exploring an area. It is another way to help player leveling up faster. If you're the type of player who loves to explore every last nook and cranny, the Explorer path is perfect for helping the leveling experience become more exploration-based. If you enjoy slaying dozens of monsters, the Soldier path gives you additional mob-killing missions and gives you a reason to spend more time killing and less time reading quests or wandering around aimlessly.

Scientists are able to learn more about the world and lore of WildStar. This profession is great for players who love to learn everything they can about the games they play during the leveling process. The Settler path changes the leveling experience by allowing players who enjoy helping others to do so while questing. Settlers can team up with other Settlers and create areas of NPCs, special buffs and even new ways to travel. Settlers help everyone level quickly.

Each of the four paths changes the game quite a bit based on which path you choose and how close you decide to follow the objectives of that path. Paths are optional as well as housing, remember, so they simply allow players to play WildStar how they wish to play it. Paths also give players a fantastic way to combine multiple objectives and maximize their experience and reward gain.
